The 17-piece UW-Superior Jazz Band, which recently claimed second place in the big band competition at the Eau Claire Jazz Festival, will open the concert performing a variety of styles that range from Latin to swing Oliver Nelson, Antonio Carlos Jobim.
The premier local professional big band, the Big Time Jazz Orchestra will play selections by Count Basie, Alan Baylock and Kase.
Tickets, which will be available at the door, are $10. The Manion Theatre is located in the Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center at 1805 Catlin Ave.
