Wrap-up of This Week
Crews worked to install temporary water while ensuring access to sidewalks for businesses and residents. A top layer was removed from the South side of Superior Street. Digging and preparation work continued on 4th Avenue West
What to Expect April 30, 2018 – May 4, 2018
. Access to all businesses and residences remain open.
. Continued work on 4th Avenue West.
. Continued work on the retaining wall next to the Gateway Building.
. Closure of 5th Avenue West on Tuesday, May 1 after the Noon hour.
Tuesday, May 1st – the 5th Avenue West and Superior Street intersection will be closed after 12:00 pm. The main detours of Michigan Street, 1st or 2nd Street are still applicable. Use the following link to review vehicle detours http://superiorstreet.org/parking-skywalk/
The North side of the intersection at 4th Avenue West and Superior Street is closed to pedestrians. Pedestrians can refer to the white information kiosks for nearby rerouting to mid-block pedestrian crossings.
Many ramps are offering free parking if you enter and leave within an hour. For those accessing businesses in the construction zone, the following ramps are participating:
. Civic Center Ramp — 410 W. First Street
. 4th Avenue Auto Park — 402 W. Michigan Street
. Duluth Transportation Center — 228 W. Michigan Street
. US Bank Ramp — 115 W. Michigan Street
