Huskies rally to nip Eau Claire

Second baseman Augie Isaacson (Friends University) tripled in three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Duluth Huskies to an 8-7 come-from-behind victory over Eau Claire in a Northwoods League game Sunday afternoon at historic Wade Stadium in West Duluth.

John Lagattuta (UC Berkeley) and Cade Edwards (Rice) had three hits each for Duluth (3-3), which swept the Express (1-5) in a two-game, home-and-home series.

Colan Treml (Wisconsin-Oshkosh) picked up the pitching win, despite allowing four earned runs and eight hits in three innings.

The Huskies will host St. Cloud at 11:35 a.m. Monday.
