Elite League begins Saturday

The 2018 Upper Midwest High School Elite League boys hockey regular season opens Saturday in New Hope, Minn.

Twelve teams will compete in a seven-week Elite League regular season, with all-weekend games also played in Duluth, Faribault, Grand Rapids, Wausau, Superior and Eau Claire one weekend apiece.

A single-elimination post-season tournament will be held October 26-28, also in New Hope.
